Eternal Gospel

The Bible

The Bible is not a book that can be discussed by man. It was written by the holy prophets and apostles who were moved by God. After they had known Christ, they wrote about all things that are revealed and accomplished by him.

Therefore, the Bible is Christ, the word of God. It is written about those who wrote the Bible, "trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow." (1 Peter 1:11). And again, "For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." (2 Peter 1:21).

Christ who is written in the Bible is the living word of God and the eternal life. It is written, "For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account." (Hebrews 4:12-13).

Therefore, Jesus said, "You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life." (John 5:39-40).

If anyone goes beyond what is written by the holy prophets and apostles, he will meet a different gospel, another Jesus, a different spirit. It is written, "Now, brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, "Do not go beyond what is written." Then you will not take pride in one man over against another." (1 Corinthians 4:6). If anyone goes beyond what is written in the Bible and is infatuated with other books, he will fall into disputes and be puffed up on behalf of one against the other.

Going beyond what is written makes quarrels and disorder, and in the end cannot lead to the knowledge of the truth. The Bible says about it, "and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:15-17).

Only the Bible written by inspiration of God is "useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

Only in the Bible is Christ, and only faith which is in Christ makes us wise for salvation. Therefore, only faith which is in Christ Jesus makes us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a pefect man of God.

The Bible is a great gift of God which is given to people through His son Jesus Christ whom He loves. How can I describe with speech and words such a great gift? I just say, "I open my mouth and pant, longing for your commands." (Psalms 119:131).

Therefore, we all confess through the Bible, "until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming." (Ephesians 4:13-14).

Only through the Bible, we can believe in the Son of God and know him and be made complete, and moreover attain to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

If we went beyond the Bible and were addicted to other books, we would be "tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming," and in the end our faith would suffer shipwreck. It is written, "If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain." (1 Timothy 6:3-5).

Therefore, all the books other than the Bible are false doctrines; they are not the sound instruction. The blessed will say, "Do not snatch the word of truth from my mouth, for I have put my hope in your laws." (Psalms 119:43). Only the Bible! Thank you, Lord.
