When You Hear a Sound of Marching in the Tops

Only the Bible is able to make us wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

It is written, "and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:15-17).

The Lord Jesus said, "You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me." (John 5:39). "About me" also means "about us who have been united to Christ and have become one body."

Therefore, the Bible is a guidebook of salvation which testifies about all the children of God. So we see that the writings about David in the Bible are also about Christians. The Bible is not historical writings about those of old, but writings about us who have now become the substance through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

There are many versions of the Bible, but there is the only Spirit of God who makes us understand the Bible. Many people dispute about which version of the Bible is the better one, saying one particular version is better than the others. However, if they don't read and understand any version of the Bible through the Spirit of God, they will perish by the Bible.

It is written, "Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: 'This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.'" (Luke 2:34-35).

What God said to David when he confronted the enemy Philistines is the living instructions that God now gives us who are fighting the good fight against the world.

It is written, "Therefore David inquired again of God, and God said to him, 'You shall not go up after them; circle around them, and come upon them in front of the mulberry trees. And it shall be, when you hear a sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall go out to battle, for God has gone out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.'" (1 Chronicles 14:14-15).

From the above passages, we should gain wisdom with which we can surely win the good fight against the world. God himself wants to fight the good fight together with Christians. If God were not with us, we would be always defeated in the fight.

Here, we can find an amazing winning strategy, which God teaches us, for our good fight against the world.

First, do not go straight up, but circle around them and hide yourself and wait for the time to attack.

Second, when you hear a sound of marching of the armies of God in the top above, go out to battle, without hesitation. (Blessed are those who hear this sound.)

Third, that is the sign that God has gone out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines, that is, the world.

Only those who wait patiently until they hear a sound of moving of God will win the fight against the world, together with God.

Until now, I have gone out ahead and have fought the lifelong fight by myself and have been defeated over and over again. From now on, however, I will win the fight according to the written testimony and glorify the God of glory in Christ Jesus. Amen. Thank you, Lord.
