Wheat and Chaff

2004-10-18 20:41

Wheat and chaff appear to be combined as a head, but they are separated in harvest. Likewise, faith leading to salvation and faith not leading to salvation will be separated in the end.

Therefore, the faith working through love and yielding the fruit of the Spirit will leads to salvation, but the claimed faith without the fruit cannot inherit the kingdom of God and will be thrown into the fire that shall never be quenched.

It is written, "His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire (Matthew 3:12)." The kingdom of God is not of the beginning but of the end.

Salvation is not in the beginning of faith but in the end of faith. It is written, "receiving the end of your faith--the salvation of your souls (1 Peter 1:9)." And also, "Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith (Hebrews 13:7)."

From the beginning to the end, all the world is in God. Until now a great multitude of people that no one can count have been passing through this world. But who have been the sons becoming one with Christ?

There are people who do not know God, and people who do not obey God though they know God, and people who obey God and follow the Lamb wherever he goes.

There is no need to think about those who do not know God, as it is written, "do not measure the court which is outside the temple." We only have to examine ourselves by the light of the Word to see whether we are becoming the sons united with Christ, measuring the sanctuary and the inner sanctuary by Christ's measurement.

Among the sons of God are those who will not inherit the kingdom of God and also those who will inherit it with Christ Jesus. It is written, "a man's enemies will be the members of his own household."

The Bible refers to those who though they are His sons will not inherit the kingdom of God as "the sons of disobedience." It is written, "Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated."

It is written, "in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience (Ephesians 2:2)." And again, "Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them (Ephesians 5:6-7)."

The sons of disobedience are liars. They say they have died with Christ, but in fact they have not died. They say Christ lives in them, but they still live themselves without Christ.

Christ Jesus, who is the firstfruits from the dead, says to the sons of God who will follow him to the end and inherit the kingdom of God with him, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me (Luke 9:23)."

There are so many people who pretend to be Christ, saying that they have died and Christ lives in them. However, they have not denied themselves and are still alive.

Therefore, the Lord Jesus said in advance, "For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many (Matthew 24:5)."

They are the sons of disobedience. They don't have obedience in which the curtain before the Most Holy Place must be torn in two with Christ. The sons of disobedience are contrary to the message of the cross through which the body of sin is done away with and we can no longer be slaves of sin. Although they say that they believe in the Lord Jesus, they are false brothers.

It is written, "Woe to them! They have taken the way of Cain; they have rushed for profit into Balaam's error; they have been destroyed in Korah's rebellion. These men are blemishes at your love feasts, eating with you without the slightest qualm--shepherds who feed only themselves. They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted--twice dead. They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever. Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men: 'See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones to judge everyone, and to convict all the ungodly of all the ungodly acts they have done in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.' These men are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage (Jude 1:11-16)."

Therefore, it is written, "do not be partakers with them." And also, "Then I heard another voice from heaven say: 'Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues (Revelation 18:4).'"

Thank you, Lord.
